Baby Stitcheries finished

(Click on pic for a bigger clearer look sorry pic not very good)

Another baby quilt in the making, this baby has already been born, here are the materials that I brought for it not my usual taste but I want to try to stretch myself with each new quilt, plus I don't have to live with it!!

If needed I can also use these from my stash, they were brought for another project that I needed spring colours for.

So I am only working till 11 tomorrow morning so hopefully I can get the material cut tomorrow afternoon all depending on the moving in progress!!(see previous post & while you're there comment to be in my giveaway)I think I know what I want to do with it but will make my final decision at the table!!

My First Giveaway

I have decided to have a giveaway,I know its not a special blog like my 50th or
100th or even my 20th so lets call it my late 10th!! I sent a magazine to Sylvia(no blog)who wasn't able to get it in her area & she very kindly sent me a Natalie Ross-In Stitches- pattern but being a Christmas freak I already had it,so with her permission I am going to offer it to the blogging world with a few added extras from my stash, so if you would like Santa & accessories please leave me a comment & mention it on your blog. I will draw it on 8th June so as to give new traffic a chance plus gives me more time to add to the surprise!!:)
(edited: meant to post the 8th of June for the drawing not the 1st SORRY!!)

Pattern with stuff hidden behind love surprises!!

I have started a major clear out so will have more to give away soon.If you like cloth dolls I have some Boyd ones that I don't want any more but won't give to the Op-Shop, so they will probably be next.

I have been spurred onto a big clean out by starting to clean out all my eldest daughters stuff, her boyfriend is from Wales and has decided to go back & she is going with him. This has all happened in the last 3 weeks he was going to be here till Sept but his boss sacked him on Tues so he will be going sometime very soon Whitney has to wait for her passport then she will be off, as you can imagine it has all been a big shock and I havent had much time to get my head around it but it is a very good oppertunity for them both so how can you say no ( not that it would make any difference she is 21!!)So we are now trying to make room for all his stuff that needs shipping, wish me luck!!.

Make yourselves a cuppa.............

This maybe a long post:) I could not find the lead for my camera on monday so had to wait till today to post pics from the weekend.....so first up....we had a great time!! pjs went on at about 3:30 fri afternoon & did not come off till we left sunday morning. The house was fantastic 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living areas, we sewed all weekend in between eating & laughing.....very relaxing in fact so relaxing we are going back in October.

The gang at tea on fri night

On the way home sunday called at a lovely quilt shop-Patchwork by sea, Brighton SA- brought a couple of books very friendly owners, thanks Jen & Terry for putting up with us, we were a bit noisy & then we ALL used the toilet!!! www.patchworkbysea.com.au

Had a lovely day off today,in the morning I went to the local church craft group, I used to go every week till I started work, it was nice to catch up with everyone, then I came home & made a couple of bags, one is for a birthday girl from my weds night group & the other I made for the lady who gave me the material.

I made chicken & veg soup for tea & some ham & cheese muffins very yum.

It might seem funny to have a pic of tea but I have to cook gluten free so anytime I get a sucess I am very excited!!

Lastly look what I got in spotlight yesterday, very cute, the patterned is felt, going to use this to make some things from my new Tilda book Sew Pretty Homestyle..

My Colour

Try this.....good fun I love purple hues
you are lavender
#E6E6FA

Your dominant hue is blue, making you a good friend who people love and trust. You're good in social situations and want to fit in. Just be careful not to compromise who you are to make them happy.

Your saturation level is very low - you have better things to do than jump headfirst into every little project. You make sure your actions are going to really accomplish something before you start because you hate wasting energy making everyone else think you're working.

Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.

Special birthday present

This is a picture of a wallhanging my sister,Glenice, made for me.
Glenices best friend,Lin,brought the pattern to make for Glenices granddaughter,Caitlyn, Lin was Caitlyns godmother, unfortunatly just after Caitlyn was born Lin died of Ovarian cancer, after being diagnosed less than a year before,Glenice recieved all Lins sewing stuff & found the incomplete quilt, she finished it off for Caitlyn, during this time I had asked for the pattern to make for myself, there were a few excuses as to its non appearance! then on my birthday (boxing day 2007) Glenice gave me my very own Blue Noahs Ark,it hangs in my dining room & Lin is fondly thoughtof whenever I look at it. What a special sister.
