Visited two yesterday... so my husband is a very happy chappy...We went to Pembroke Castle first..absolutly stunning... earliest remaining parts from the mid 12th century through to the 17th century...

We had beautiful weather..almost too warm in parts!!

The Gatehouse inside Castle view

We then went to Carew Castle where the earliest remains found dated to before 1100 when it was the site of a Celtic Fort...

The title of this post made me laugh. It sounded as though you had become very blase about the whole castle thing. Then I saw your photos. How amazing! I knew then that no-one could be blase about such sights! Have a great day tomorrow. (Going to London to visit the Queen? Nursery rhymes have a lot to answer for!)
